Keepin' busy

The girls had Hannah and Cody over for a play-date today after preschool. First Candy Land......and a tasty lunch......followed by princess dress-up.
Also, how do you deal with a baby and a toddler at Target? Like this! Thank goodness for mega-carts!

New and old toys

There are a LOT of new toys around our house these days. Stephie even earned one more new game this morning by declaring last night, "I don't need a pull-up for sleeping any more!" and keeping her promise. Big girl! Here are Stephie and Sammy playing a new version of Candy Land......and Richie joining in later in the day.
Our basement has been taken over by trains......and there are still a few of Stephie's old books around for Haley to chew on.
Lots of time in the loft playing with the new doll house...
...and one of Stephie's old favorites, a spinning turtle.
Finally, Haley's new baby doll and stacking cups, plus some old stuffed animals and rattles.
No shortage of fun things to play with on these cold winter days.

On the move!

Just when Mommy commented yesterday on Haley's army-crawling abilities, Haley decided to officially start crawling on her hands and knees today. Fast. SUPER fast. Go, Haley, go!
Stephie thinks this is particularly hilarious. "Get back here, Haley..."
"...so I can play the butt bongos. Hahaha!"

9 months old!

Happy 9 month birthday to Haley! Haley's biggest accomplishment this month has been her increasing mobility. She is a WILD woman, army crawling her way into every corner of the house and trying to eat everything in her path. Stephie has adopted the role of the protector (tattler?!?) and cues us in to Haley's latest mischief.Still the world's sweetest baby!
Meanwhile, in case you forgot her name, Stephie spelled it out on her new favorite p.j.'s.

New Year's Eve pictures

We had a really fun New Year's Eve at Leena and John's house. Haley and Carter shared some rings......and Stephie was thankful that "it wasn't too crowded!" She particularly enjoyed playing with the big kids, Ben, Kyla, and Logan, who were extra nice to her the whole night. Here is the whole gang: not bad for a posed picture!
