New Year's Eve bowling

We rounded out 2010 with a trip to the bowling alley. Stephie enjoyed the air blowers......and she and Bingo were everyone's biggest cheerleaders.
Meanwhile, Haley made her rounds too.
2010 was a pretty spectacular year for our family: one Caribbean vacation, two moves, one baby, one blue minivan, and one graduation...and that was all before May! Suffice it to say that we are extremely blessed and thankful. Here's to an equally healthy, happy, and prosperous 2011 for all of our amazing friends and family.

Candy cane hunt

First, check out how Haley has been keeping busy at home. Lots of smiles......and crawling...
...and of course chewing on toys...
...and trying to get into mischief too!
Just enough hair for a hair bow.
Stephie, meanwhile, was out and about on a candy-cane hunt. Story-time first...
...and then searching for candy canes in the snow.
Hey, she found one!

Painting piggies

Stephie has been gradually getting more and more excited about having her nails painted. First, she let Mimi paint just one nail on Christmas Day. Then, Grandma Julie painted the rest two days later. And today, Aunt Jeannie got to paint her toenails AND fingernails a lovely shade of pink (we unfortunately didn't have the requested purple). "That's ok, Mommy, you can get some from the store."
Haley's too little for nail polish, but she had a great time playing with Uncle Alex instead.

Christmas by GrAllen, Part One

The next few days will be filled with pictures from Grandpa Allen. They are awesome!!! Stephie watching out the window for guests to arrive:Our happy family:Haley's first poem from Grandma Julie:

Haley

When you think of cuddly,

when you think of soft and small,

when you think of babies,

I’m the cutest one of all.

If you think about a baby,

and how sweet they all should be,

if you think about the best one,

then you’ll probably think of me.

I smile from dawn to nighttime

and I hardly ever cry.

My disposition is the best

I cannot tell a lie.

I do not like to toot my horn.

I do not like to boast.

But there’s no better baby,

if you searched from coast to coast

I started out so very small,

But, my, how fast I’ve grown.

I am the sweetest baby

that you’ve ever ever known.

Of course you’ll think of Stephie.

She is a sight to see.

You’ll say she’s very pretty.

Of course she looks like me!

When Santa puts the presents

Underneath the Christmas tree

You won’t find any ones as good

As Stephie and as me.

Photographic proof that Haley is indeed super sweet:
